The Rev. Jesse Jackson, a civil rights leader and two-time presidential candidate, died on Feb. 17, leaving behind a legacy of activism and public service that inspired many, including current D.C. shadow senator candidate Markus Batchelor, to continue the fight for social justice and economic parity.
